Stay Ahead: November 2025 Key Tax Deadlines

As the busy November hustle looms with end-of-year projects and holiday festivities, it’s crucial for businesses to stay on top of their tax deadlines. Key dates include the filing and deposit deadlines for Form 941.

November 10 - Social Security, Medicare, and Withheld Income Tax

If you filed your quarterly taxes on time and paid in full, your Form 941 for Q3 2025 is due on this date. Don’t miss this, especially when your deposits meet the timely deposit protection rule.

November 17 - Monthly Depositors

For employers under the monthly deposit system, by November 17, you must deposit your employment taxes for October 2025. This includes Social Security, Medicare, and any withheld income taxes. Moreover, this date is also critical for depositing nonpayroll withholding taxes if following the monthly schedule.

Consider Weekends & Holidays:

Should a due date land on a weekend or federal holiday, it rolls over to the next business day, giving you a slight reprieve.

Extensions for Disaster Areas:

If your business operates in an area declared a disaster zone, you might be eligible for an extension on these deadlines. Stay informed by checking the latest updates from FEMA and the IRS on disaster declarations and tax relief here: FEMA Disaster Declarations and IRS Tax Relief Options.

Staying on top of these dates not only averts penalties but ensures smooth year-end financial activities.
